Description

No 16 on High Street in Yarm is an early 18th-century building constructed of local brick, topped with a renewed pantiled roof and featuring ridge chimneys. The structure stands three storeys tall and has six windows. It showcases segmental gauged brick arches above 18th-century sash windows, which have wooden architraves and glazing bars. The ground floor has a later wide central opening with flattened ogee arch heads leading to a stuccoed lobby with doors. On either side of this lobby are wide modern oriel bow shopfronts. A fire insurance sign is located at the center of the first floor.
