Description
Dated 1857 on a plaque, 19-21 Forest Lane is Kirk Levington Village School. The building is constructed of local brick with a pantiled roof and exhibits Gothic detailing. It is a single-story, three-bay structure. A projecting gabled porch is positioned on the left side, featuring a boarded door set beneath a pointed brick arch. The iron lattice windows have alternating brick surrounds and small opening central lights. To the left of the school is a two-story, one-bay teacher's cottage, which has been rendered and whitewashed. Original sash windows with glazing bars have been replaced.
