Description
The boundary wall located 250 metres to the northeast of Priory Gardens Cottage is a Grade II listed structure. It is constructed of brick, featuring flat stone copings on the eastern side and dressed sandstone on the southern side.
The wall has a plan where the eastern section runs in a north-south direction, and at the southern end, it turns to run west. In the centre of the eastern section, there is a round-arched opening that includes a wood-plank door. The southern section, which runs east-west, has a varied top, with parts covered by corrugated iron and others by flat coping stones. The height of the wall decreases as it extends to the west.
Additionally, there is an inserted doorway that is accessed via sunken steps, along with another inserted opening that leads onto a ramp with coping stones. These features would have provided access to the greenhouses and frames that were originally built against the southern face of the wall.
