Description
Abrams Buildings is a terrace of four cottages, now functioning as two, dating from the early 19th century. The buildings were restored with porches added around 1980. They are constructed from dressed sandstone with a plinth, and the left return features coursed rubble that has been repaired with brick. The roofs are covered with renewed clay pantiles, complete with stone ridge and gable copings.
The left-hand cottage has a brick and timber porch. The terrace is two storeys high and has a total of four windows. The paired doorways are present, although the doorways to the original end cottages have been blocked. The doors are four-panel with overlights that include glazing bars. The gabled porches are designed to match the overall style of the cottages. The windows have been renewed as sashes with glazing bars. There are end stacks that feature bands, and garret lights are present in the returns, with one in the left return blocked. Both garret lights have moulded lintels. Additionally, there are skylights in the rear pitch of the roof. A late 20th-century lean-to extension on the left return is noted but is not considered of special interest.
