Description
This is a late 18th-century terrace of three cottages located on the north side of High Street, Loftus. Number 32 is now incorporated into the adjacent Angel Inn (listed separately). The cottages are built of finely tooled sandstone and have clay pantile roofs with stone ridge details. Some of the chimney stacks have been rebuilt in brick. They are arranged as two storeys, with one window visible in each cottage. A boarded door with overlight is located to the left at number 32. The doors on the right at numbers 33 and 34 have been replaced. The windows are sash windows – renewed at number 32, altered at number 33, and retaining glazing bars at number 34. Painted sills are visible, and there are skylights at numbers 33 and 34. The terrace has two ridge stacks. The buildings are included on the list for their group value.
