Description
No. 8 St Hilda's Place is a house from the mid to late 18th century, with a slightly later wing attached on the right. It is constructed of dressed sandstone and features renewed clay pantile roofs, which have stone ridges and gable copings, along with block kneelers and rebuilt corniced end stacks. The building has two storeys and two windows. The central doorway includes a late 20th century six-panel door with an overlight, framed by a late 19th century timber pilaster surround beneath a simple hood supported by paired scrolled brackets. The windows are renewed sashes with glazing bars and painted sills. To the right, there is a single-storey, two-bay wing that matches the main house. The gables of the house have garret lights.
