Description
This building is a garage located to the north-east of The Ship Inn, constructed between 1932 and 1933. It features red brick and mock timber-framing, with a hipped roof covered in plain tiles and a brick plinth. The garage is a single storey with an attic.
The street-facing side has four recessed garage doors, topped by a band of timber framing. Above this is a flat-headed dormer window. The west side includes a central four-light wooden mullioned window with a segmented brick head, situated above another four-light flat-headed dormer window. The south side has three plank garage doors, with an external staircase on the right leading to an attic door in the flat-headed dormer. To the left, there is a two-light dormer window, and all dormers feature patterned leaded sides. The roof is crowned by a square lantern topped with a hipped plain tile roof and a ball finial.
The interior has not been inspected. This garage is part of the overall design of The Ship Inn and is included for its group value.
