Description
This cottage, now used as an office, dates from the early 19th century and was altered around 1900. It is constructed from dressed sandstone with tooled margins and features a Welsh slate roof with a stone ridge and gable copings, as well as a stack on the left end. The building has two storeys and consists of one bay. To the right, there is a six-panelled door, and on each floor, there is a tripartite sash window with glazing bars. The first-floor window has been renewed and is set in an enlarged opening that breaks into a gabled half-dormer from around 1900. A garage attached to the left side is not of interest. The cottage is included for its group value with Brotton Hall.
