Description
No. 82 High Street is a cottage dating from around 1800, featuring a mid to late 19th-century extension on the right and a mid-20th-century porch. The building is constructed from chevron-tooled dressed sandstone, with a brick extension and porch. It has a late 20th-century concrete tiled roof, and the right end stack has been rebuilt in brick. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows, with the middle one being inserted in the mid to late 19th century. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door with an overlight, set within a slightly projecting porch that has a flat roof. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, and there is a horizontal sash garret window with glazing bars located in the left return. Additionally, there is a blocked garret light in the right return above a single-storey lean-to extension.
