Description
The barn and gingang located to the north-west of Duddo Hill Farmhouse date from the early 19th century. The barn is constructed of brick and features a Welsh slate roof, while the gingang is made of squared stone with a Scottish slate roof. The barn has boarded double doors on the left side of the gingang and a 4-pane sash window on the right. The circular gingang is supported by eight piers with slightly-projecting capitals and has boarded infill, topped with a conical roof. The left side of the barn displays tumbled-in gable coping, and the rear elevation facing the yard includes a stable door and a 12-pane fixed casement window.
Inside, the barn has a roof supported by scissor-braced trusses. The gingang's roof features a tie-beam below the collar-beam, which supports a central post with radial collars and struts to the principal rafters, along with two levels of purlins.
