Description

The garden wall and gateways located about 20 yards north of Ovingham Vicarage are possibly medieval and 19th century in origin. Constructed from squared stone and random rubble, the wall stands approximately 8 feet high and features a ridged coping. The lower courses consist of very large, well-dressed stone. On the right side, there is a plank door, while the center features a doorway dated WMB 1856, which has a Tudor arch beneath a hoodmould. Above this, there is a parapet with a gabled end, and the entrance includes an elaborate studded and panelled door.
