Description
The barn and adjacent buildings located 60 metres north of Nunriding Hall consist of two sections, with the southern part likely dating from the 17th century and the northern part from the mid-18th century. The southern section is constructed of rubble with large squared quoins, while the northern section features roughly-coursed squared stone and has a slate roof.
The west elevation has six bays and is irregular in design. It includes hay-hung threshing doors with a timber lintel that is slightly raised above the eaves in the fourth bay. To the left, there are three slit vents and a stable door set under a segmental arch with a raised keystone. To the right, the older section has various blocked openings and two slatted windows positioned directly beneath the eaves. The right return displays blocked openings and a reverse-stepped gable. The rear elevation, which is within later sheds, features two blocked segmental-headed doorways with raised keystones.
