Description
Nos. 7 and 9 in Denwick Village are a pair of estate cottages built around 1840. They are constructed from squared tooled stone and feature a Welsh slate roof with a rendered stack. The cottages are symmetrical, with one and two storeys and a layout of one, two, and one bays.
The central two-storey section includes canted ground-floor bays that have two-light mullioned windows with plain sashes, topped with stone slab coping. Above, there are similar windows in gabled half dormers. The gables are coped and have finials, while a central stepped ridge stack, which has been partially rebuilt, sits atop the structure. The lower end bays have a pent roof and feature four-pane sash windows under hoodmoulds. All windows are set in chamfered surrounds, and the gables have pitched coping on moulded kneelers. The doorways are located at the rear.
There are flat-roofed extensions at the back that are not of special interest.
