Description
Nos. 1, 3, and 5 in Denwick Village are a group of three estate cottages built in 1839. They are constructed from squared tooled stone and feature a Welsh slate roof with rendered stacks. Each cottage is one storey high and has two bays. The central cottage includes a projecting porch with a renewed half-glazed door, a gable that displays a datestone bearing the Percy crescent, and a finial. There is also a small casement window on the right return. The end cottages each have a central renewed half-glazed door. All cottages feature two-light mullioned windows with plain sashes, and the openings are framed with chamfered surrounds and hoodmoulds. The gables have pitched coping and moulded kneelers, with stepped stacks rebuilt on old bases located at the ends and between the cottages. There are flat-roofed extensions at the rear, which are not of special interest.
