Description
Nos. 17 and 19 in Denwick Village are a pair of estate cottages built around 1840. They are constructed from squared tooled stone and feature a Welsh slate roof with rendered stacks. The cottages are symmetrical, comprising one and two storeys with one, two, and one bays.
The central double pent porch has two 2-pane casement windows and a vertical-panelled door on each side. Above, there are 3-light mullioned windows and 2-light windows that hold plain sashes. The gables are coped with stepped end stacks, which have been rebuilt at their upper parts. The lower end bays have 4-pane sash windows beneath pent roofs. All windows are set in chamfered surrounds, and the gables feature pitched coping on moulded kneelers.
