Description
The attached wall and game larder located to the north of Fallodon Hall is a Grade II listed structure. The wall likely dates from the 18th century, while the game larder, pump, and trough are from the 19th century. The wall and game larder are constructed from rubble, except for the northern end, which features squared stone with cut dressings. The roof of the larder is made of Welsh slate. The pump is made of cast iron and is accompanied by a rendered brick trough. The wall extends approximately 45 meters north from the northeast corner of the Hall's service wing, with a hexagonal game larder attached to its west face about halfway along. At the southern end of the wall, there is a pump topped with an acorn finial and a swept handle with a ball at the end. The wall stands about 2 meters high and has a low-pitched coping. The game larder features an altered four-panel door with a small vent above it and a pyramidal roof, along with small windows on three other sides. This structure is included for its group value with Fallodon Hall.
