Description
The game larder and the walls to the north and east of the tennis court at Guyzance Hall were built in the early 20th century and late 19th century, respectively. The game larder features a lower stage made of coursed rubble and an upper stage that is pebbledashed, accented with ashlar dressings. It has a red clay tile roof, except for the outhouse which is covered with Lakeland slates. The walls are constructed from squared stone.
The square game larder is attached to the center of the external face of the north wall and has a moulded string course between its stages, which continues as the coping for short wing walls to the north and west. The north wall includes a pent outhouse with two boarded doors, while a boarded door on the north wall was previously accessible via an external timber staircase that has since been removed. An oval window with a keyed architrave is located on the east side of the upper stage, and the structure is topped with a pyramid roof featuring a finial.
The attached wall of the tennis court rises to 3 meters and has gabled coping. The east wall is similar but slightly lower and connects to the Gatehouse.
