Description

The structure consists of garden walls with an attached summerhouse and gatehouse, likely built around 1894 by W.H. Knowles. The walls are made of squared stone with tooled ashlar dressings. The summerhouse features a roof of red clay tiles, while the gatehouse has a Welsh slate roof topped with a lead dome on its turret. There are two wrought-iron gates.

The west wall extends south from the south-west corner of the Hall's ballroom and has a coping that steps down. It includes a patterned gate set in a chamfered surround leading to the Rose Garden. At the south-west corner, there is an octagonal summerhouse with a stone ground floor that has a noticeable batter to the walls, two doorways, and a small leaded casement. The upper section of the summerhouse has plate glass windows with small-paned top sections all around and is capped with a pyramid roof.

The south wall runs east from the summerhouse and features minor steps to the north and south. In the western part of this wall, there is a gate with a patterned top rail and fleur-de-lys dogbars. The eastern part has three blind recesses with chamfered surrounds. At the eastern end, the gatehouse has a three-centred chamfered arch beneath a six-pane casement and a shaped gable. To the left of the gatehouse is a taller octagonal turret that has an arched pigeon hole above a stone shelf, with the shelf at different heights on each face, and is topped with a domed cap. Both walls are adorned with a moulded string below an embattled parapet.
