Description
This early 19th-century limekiln is located 100 metres south of the road and 650 metres west of Old Rugeley. It is constructed of rubble with cut dressings and features an extended semicircular plan, with short wing walls supporting the charging ramp to the southeast. The structure includes three tall round-headed drawing arches and low segmental arches at the eyes. The eastern wing wall has a half-arched recess to accommodate the drawing arch. At the time of the survey, a pot filled with brushwood was present.
