Description
The Union Stone is a boundary stone, likely from the 18th century, made of sandstone. It has a rectangular shape with a roughly segmental top. On the east side, it features incised letters "A" for the Freemen of Alnwick, "N" for the Duke of Northumberland on the south side, and "S" for Swinburne on the west side. This stone marks the junction of the parishes of Alnwick to the east, Denwick to the south, and Edlingham to the west.
