Description
Bigges' Pillar is a possible beacon base, likely from the medieval period. It is constructed from large rubble with a roughly-coursed facing that is partly fallen. The structure has a circular plan with a diameter of approximately 8 metres and features a battered convex profile on the sides, leading to a flattish top. There are traces of steps on the west side, and the overall height of the pillar is 3 metres.
