Description
This building is a shelter shed, byre, and granary dating from the 18th century, located approximately 30 yards west of West Heddon Farmhouse in Heddon-on-the-Wall. It is constructed of roughly-coursed stone and features a roof made of pantiles and stone slates. The structure has two storeys. On the left side, there is a stable-type door with slatted windows on either side. To the right, the shelter shed includes three segmental old-brick arches supported by square stone piers, with a pitching door located above. The roof is steeply pitched and has reverse-stepped gables.
