Description
West Heddon Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of ashlar and features a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The front has a 20th-century door set in a bolection-moulded surround, which includes a pulvinated frieze and cornice. The windows are four-pane sash windows. The roof has been raised by three courses of brick and has a gabled design with brick end stacks, while the rear features a catslide roof.
Inside, there is an early 18th-century fireplace that has an eared bolection-moulded surround, a frieze depicting two running hounds in relief along with scrolls, and a corniced mantelshelf.
