Description
This is a house built in the late 18th century, located next to the Hare and Hounds Inn in Allendale Town. The building is constructed from squared stone with tooled dressings and features a stone slate roof, with a rebuilt brick ridge and gable stacks. It has three storeys and a tall basement, with a total of three bays.
A stone staircase is positioned in the center, leading up to a four-panel door set in a raised stone surround. This door is flanked by late 19th-century sash windows that are located in older openings, featuring wedge lintels and slightly projecting sills. The second floor has similar windows, while the third floor has smaller versions of these windows.
At the basement level, there is a 20th-century garage door on the left and a nine-pane fixed window next to a boarded door on the right.
