Description

No. 14 The Butts is a house from the early 19th century. It features an ashlar front and a rubble return, topped with a Welsh slate roof and a rendered brick stack. The building has a plinth and a band at the first floor level. It is two storeys high with two bays. The left bay contains a six-panel door with an overlight, while the right bay has a 16-pane sash window on the ground floor and another on the first floor. The plain frieze serves as the lintels for the upper windows, and there is a moulded eaves cornice. The left gable is coped, and there is a stepped-and-banded stack at the right end. The altered rear wing is not of special interest.
