Description

15 The Butts is an early 19th-century building featuring three storeys and a three-window red brick facade with painted stone dressings. The windows are sashes set in cased frames, topped with rusticated flat arches and glazing bars. The facade includes rusticated quoins and a plain string band at the first-floor level. At the eaves, there is a projecting wood cornice, which has been poorly patched with rough boarding. The entrance is an off-centre open pedimented doorcase supported by heavy console brackets, featuring an oblong plain fanlight and a six-fielded-panelled door with a fielded panelled reveal. The roof is low-pitched and covered with Welsh slates. Additionally, there are two canted bay windows on the ground floor. Nos 1 to 15 (odd) form a group.
