Description
24 The Butts is an early 18th-century building located in Brentford. It is constructed of brown brick with red brick dressings and features two storeys, a basement, and an attic. The façade includes four double-hung sash windows set in plain surrounds. The basement has a plinth, and the windows are topped with cambered relieving arches. The ground floor windows have segmental arches with projecting keystones, and there are sunk rectangular window apron panels below the first-floor windows. The building is topped with a modillion eaves cornice and a machine-tiled hipped roof, which includes two segmental-headed dormers. The doorway features a six-fielded panel door with a traceried fanlight, surrounded by narrow panels and a bracketed hood. All the listed buildings in The Butts form a group.
