Description

This is an early 18th-century pair of houses, Cobden House and Linden House, located at Nos. 21 and 23 The Butts, Brentford. The houses are constructed of brown brick and extend over two storeys, with a basement and an attic. They feature four double-hung sash windows on each floor, set within architraves. The doorways differ; No. 21 has a rectangular fanlight and a bracketed doorhood, while No. 23 has a traceried fanlight, brackets, and a dentil cornice hood. The roof is a Mansard roof covered in old tiles, with four dormers. A modern extension has been added to the left of the original structure. Cobden House and Linden House are part of a group of listed buildings along The Butts.
