Description

EDLINGHAM BROOME HILL NU 11 SW NU 134126 9/112 Outbuilding on north side of road, 30 metres north- east of Broome Hill Farmhouse GV II

House, now farmbuilding, dated 1702 with initials T B (Thomas Burwell) carved in relief within sunk panel on door lintel, altered. Roughly-squared stone with cut dressings; Welsh slate roof. South elevation 2 low storeys, 3 bays; 2 boarded doors in chamfered surrounds, that to right with dated lintel; several blocked stone-surround windows. Gables have C20 coping. Blocked lst-floor window in each return; rear elevation shows 2 boarded doors with timber lintels.
