Description
This is an outbuilding located north of Abingdon Court Farmhouse, dating from the 17th or 18th century. It is constructed from limestone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of two bays. There is an altered doorway on the south side, with a loft entrance above it. Inside, the structure has joined braces connecting the first floor beam to the base of the truss. The lintel from the south door has been removed and is now in the farmhouse; it likely originated from there, as it has similar mouldings to one found in the living room. The lintel is made of oak and features fretwork on its moulding. It also bears incised letters: T.W.C.? 1.A.D.M.N. 16?30, accompanied by a floral design and the initials R. ?G. BILT IT.
