Description
The entrance screen and gates to Lemmington Hall, also known as Sacred Heart Convent, date from the 18th century. The structure is made of tooled ashlar and features a central pair of strong round piers that have fluted necking and low domed caps. These piers are connected by quadrant walls that include low arched coping, leading to square end piers, which also have domed caps. The entrance is completed with early 20th-century wrought-iron gates.
