Description
The building is a dovecote, kennels, and bothy located approximately 30 yards southwest of Kennels Cottage, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of dressed stone with ashlar dressings and features a graduated Welsh slate roof. The structure is single-storey with a two-storey dovecote and consists of five bays. There is a boarded door in the fourth bay and 12-pane sash windows. The roof is hipped.
The square, ashlar dovecote projects through the roof over the central bay and includes a two-light double-chamfered mullioned window. It has a gabled roof with a wooden turret that contains pigeon holes.
To the right of the building, there are two dog exercise yards enclosed by high spiked railings. Inside the dovecote, there are brick nesting boxes and the original potence for collecting eggs.
