Description

High House Farm Brewery consists of a threshing barn, engine house, chimney, shelter sheds, byres, stables, and cartshed, built in 1844. The building is constructed of random rubble with ashlar dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof, and includes a brick engine-house chimney.

To the north is a two-story, T-shaped block. The long range of shelter sheds features five segmental arches, with a granary positioned above. Behind this stands the threshing barn, with a lean-to engine house and a tall, square, corniced chimney.

Projecting southwards from the ends of the shelter sheds are two single-story ranges; byres on the east side and stables on the west side. A cartshed, featuring three segmental arches, is attached to the stables. Modern sheds filling the yard between these ranges are not considered to be of special interest.
