Description
The building is a dovecote with an attached stable and workshop, located approximately 30 yards north of Bolam Hall. The dovecote dates from the 18th century, while the attached building is from the 19th century. The dovecote is constructed of dressed stone, and the attached building features ashlar with Welsh slate roofs.
The dovecote is two storeys high and square in shape, with a boarded door on the ground floor. Above the door, there are two pairs of pigeon holes set in a stone screen, complete with alighting ledges. It has a pyramidal roof.
The attached building is a single storey with three bays. It has a boarded door on the left, a stable door on the right, and a window on the extreme right. The roof is hipped and features a lead ventilator and a corniced chimney stack on the rear slope.
