Description
The Crown and Anchor is an inn dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and is composed of four bays. There are four steps leading up to a six-panelled door, which is located in the second bay and is sheltered by a semi-circular stone hood supported by stone brackets. The windows are 16-pane sashes with projecting sills, although the windows in the left bay were replaced in the late 20th century. A sill band runs along the first floor. The gables on the ends have open pediments. The left gable has a stone stack with a band, while the right stack has been replaced with brick.
