Description
The stables at Holeyn Hall are former stables, workshops, and a groom's cottage that have been converted into farm buildings. They date from the mid-19th century. The right block is constructed of ashlar stone, while the center and left blocks are made of coursed stone with ashlar dressings. The roofs are covered with Welsh slate.
The central section is two stories high and is flanked by single-story ranges. It features two bays, with a plank door set in an alternating surround topped by a flattened Tudor-arched lintel. The windows also have similar surrounds. The roof is cross-gabled and includes a clock set within a moulded surround.
The right range has projecting alternating quoins and similar surrounds for the door and windows. It also includes an elliptical-arched carriage entry with plank and double doors, as well as an ashlar corniced external stack on the rear wall.
The left range consists of 11 bays with triangular-headed openings and contains the groom's cottage. It has a gabled roof with a stone ridge stack.
