Description
The Lion and Lamb is an inn dated 1718, located in Horsley Village. It is constructed with rendered walls and a stone slate roof, featuring two storeys. The main building has a double span design, with a projecting cross wing on the right and a two-bay single-storey addition on the left. The front block has a blocked central doorway that has been replaced with a four-paned window, flanked by 20th-century bow windows. Above, there are two sash windows. The rear section has been extensively altered in the late 20th century. The cross wing includes a 20th-century lean-to and an entrance on the right side. The roofs are gabled with narrow raised coping, and the front span and left addition are covered with stone slates. There are two gable stacks; the left one is made of stone while the other has been renewed in brick. The rear span features a brick external gable stack. The building is included for its group value.
