Description
This building is a stable with a granary above and an attached privy, located to the west of Cockshot Farmhouse. It likely dates from the early 18th century and was raised and remodelled around 1800. The structure is made of squared stone with cut dressings and has a Welsh slate roof.
The stable features a boarded door facing the farmyard, with two stone-surround windows above it and coped gables. At the rear, there is a boarded door with a four-pane overlight and four part-slatted windows, which have stone surrounds. To the right, there is an attached covered midden and privy, which includes a boarded door on the return.
This building is included for its group value. The lower farmbuilding range to the north, which has an asbestos roof, is not of special interest.
