Description

The walled garden to the north-west of Rookwood House is likely from the early 18th century. It features garden walls made of brick in stretcher bond, with squared stone on the external faces; the south wall is entirely squared stone. The garden is rectangular and faces south, with rear and side walls approximately 4 metres high, topped with flat stone coping. There is a doorway on the east side that includes a 20th-century wrought-iron gate. The front wall is about 1.2 metres high and has four steps leading up to a central entrance.
