Description
The byre and stable ranges to the north of West Plenmeller Farmhouse are planned farm buildings from the later 19th century. They are constructed from snecked rubble with tooled dressings and feature blue slate roofs. The buildings form three sides of a rectangular yard. The east and west ranges have doorways with chamfered alternating-block surrounds and small windows. The west range includes a partly-blocked segmental-arched cart entrance, while the higher northeast section has two similar arches. The doors are boarded. The south gable of the east range has a blocked door with a chamfered surround, likely re-set from the farmhouse, and features a 19th-century chamfered loop above. Later additions into the yard are not of interest.
