NY 76 SW PLENMELLER WITH WHITFIELD PLENMELLER

3/188 Byre and stable ranges to north of West Plenmeller Farmhouse GV II

Planned farm buildings, later C19. Snecked rubble with tooled dressings, blue slate roofs. Ranges on 3 sides of a rectangular yard. East and west ranges have doorways with chamfered alternating-block surrounds and small windows; west range has 1 partly-blocked segmental-arched cart entrance; higher north-east section has 2 similar arches. Boarded doors. South gable of east range has blocked door with chamfered surround, probably re-set from the farmhouse, with C19 chamfered loop above. Later extrusions into yard not of interest.
