Description
Burton's is a late 18th century to early 19th century building located on the east side of Fore Street. It has three storeys and features five windows. The front is made of brick, attached to a stone structure, and includes chamfered quoins, a coved cornice, kneelers, and architraves with cills for the windows. The building has glazing bar sash windows, with sliding sashes on the second floor and glazing bars in the upper sashes only on the first floor. There is a recent shop front with a central recessed entrance. Burton's, along with Nos 36 and 44, forms a group with Nos 23 to 33 (odd), where Nos 31 and 33 are of local interest.
