Description
This urn, located approximately 5 yards north of the Estate House in Chillingham, dates from the 18th century. It is made of marble and features elaborate decorations with festoons in high relief. The urn has a lid topped with an enriched ball finial. Originally from Versailles, it was brought to Chillingham Castle as a gift from Louis Philippe to the Earl of Tankerville.
