Description
East Lodge is a lodge built in 1828 by Sir Jeffrey Wyatville for the Earl of Tankerville. It is constructed of ashlar and features a roof that is not visible. The building is designed in the Tudor style with an octagonal plan and has two storeys. Most of the windows are one-light, Tudor-arched, set in chamfered reveals, although one side has blank slit windows. There is a two-storey canted bay next to the gateway, which has Tudor arches on all its lights. The lodge is topped with an embattled parapet that is capped with roll moulding, and there is a drip string at the first floor sill.
