Description
The garden wall to the west of Chillingham Castle is an early 19th-century structure made of dressed stone with sections of random rubble that may date back to the medieval period. It features steeply ridged coping stones with a roll-moulded top and has an embattled design. There are two 19th-century doorways that have Tudor arches. At the right corner, there is a square tower, and the right return showcases older masonry with a chamfered, round-arched carriage entry. Further along, there is additional old masonry that includes slit windows.
