Description

The public fountain at Bank Top, built in 1872, is made of limestone ashlar. It features an octagonal shape resting on a square base, topped with a pyramidal roof that has a cornice and a foliated cross finial. On the west face, there is a trefoiled panel above a semicircular bowl, which is adorned with leaf carving and supported by a colonnette with a carved capital. There are similar colonnettes and capitals at the left and right angles, although the right colonnette is missing. A drip stone forms a gable above the trefoil panel.
