Description
The garden wall, located 100 metres east of Glanton Pike, dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of brick in English Garden Wall bond 1 + 3, with roughly-squared stone on the external faces and cut dressings. The wall has a trapezoidal shape with rounded northern angles and features tall walls topped with slightly-raised stone coping on the east, north, and west sides. The east and west walls include boarded doors set in tooled ashlar surrounds with alternating blocks, while the north wall has boarded double doors near the centre and four moulded circular stone chimneypots that are part of the heating ducts. The lower south wall has flat coping that steps down at each end and includes a short extension at the south-east corner to enclose greenhouses. The external face of the north wall displays blocked heating ducts. The greenhouse and pent outbuildings to the north are not considered of special interest.
