9/27 Whinnetley Farmhouse 15/4/69 II

House, dated 1744 with name 'Joseph Gibson' on sundial over front door, early C19 and C20 extensions. Squared stone with rusticated ashlar quoins and ashlar dressings. Slate roof, coped gables with moulded kneelers, stepped and corniced ashlar stack on right gable, left gable stack rebuilt in brick on old base. 2 storeys, 3 windows, symmetrical. Central flush-panelled doorway with oblong fanlight in raised surround with moulded edge, with good C18 sundial over. 12- pane sashes in raised surrounds. Right return has rubble gable with 2 small attic lights in chamfered surrounds, C19 rear wing with later windows. Left return similar, attic lights with iron bars. Rear elevation has C19 gabled rear wings, with tooled and margined quoins, and C20 gable between.
