Description

The summer house and dovecote, located 75 metres south of Wester Hall, dates from the early 18th century. It features coursed rubble on the south and west sides and brick on the north and east, with raised tooled dressings. The roof is made of Welsh slate, with stone slates at the eaves. The building has a square plan and includes a moulded stone eaves cornice on the north and east sides.

On the north side, there is an altered door topped with a swan-neck pediment, which is capped by a carved bust and heads, and has two pigeon holes above it. The east side has a part-slatted window in a similar architectural surround. The south side features an upper window, which is now blocked, set under a segmental arch with brick voussoirs and flanked by pigeon holes. There is also a small upper window on the west side. The structure is topped with a pyramidal roof that has a stone vase finial.
