Description
Sinderhope Bridge, built in the early 19th century, spans Sinderhope Burn. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a tall elliptical-headed arch. The upper part of the arch is open, while the lower section encloses an elliptical tunnel with a paved invert that allows the stream to flow through. Above the arch, there are three iron ties. On the west side, there are two later buttresses. The bridge also has flanking pilasters and rough, arched coping on the parapet.
