Description

This headstone, dating from 1768, is located 6 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of St. Michael and All Angels. It is made of cut sandstone and features a flat top. The stone has a rectangular relief-carved panel depicting a draped figure holding a spear, with a scythe on the left and a bone on the right, surrounded by foliage scrolls. The inscription commemorates Edward, the son of Edward Ramsey of Swarland Fence.
